We are looking for a senior level PHP Developer to work with some of the leaders in the PHP Community. Experience in web-dev PERL / PHP will give you the opportunity to work on and lead special projects here at Dynamic Webs based in East Grinstead. The work is an interesting mix of both internal and external projects.
A senior-level technical position for candidates with a strong background in web application programming and a desire to work on challenging, large-scale web development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with DBAs and system architects to build world-class database-driven web solutions, as well as leading multi-disciplinary technical teams. The ideal candidate will proactively identify original solutions to problems; demonstrate the ability to work independently; be equal parts 'thinker' and 'doer'.

| Requirements: |
A minimum of a 4-year college degree and 5+ years of professional web development experience
Comprehensive understanding programming principles and programming in Perl and PHP programming languages, DHTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience writing AJAX enabled apps
Understanding of the C programming language (ability to read and modify C code)
Advanced knowledge of Web protocols and programming requirements
Experience with building highly interactive, highly trafficked, database driven web applications
Experience working with change-control systems (such as CVS)
Understanding of the Relational Databases (Oracle and MySQL)
Excellent communication skills
A passion for the web, and independent interest in web technologies and learning in a team environment
Developing scalable solutions for a variety of clients, from well-known, high-profile web sites, to traditional brick-and-mortar companies
Implementation of web architectures in PHP and Perl
Heavy use of current web technologies, including CSS, AJAX, and REST/SOAP-based web services
Directly interfacing with major customers to troubleshoot production and development issues, and serving as the penultimate escalation contact
Periodic review of team members' code for quality control
Mentoring of team members to improve their design principals and problem solving skills
Scoping new projects with hands on participation formalizing project requirements and determining project timelines
Working with the team and individual developers as needed to maintain high code quality and meet aggressive deadlines
Working with DBAs and SAs to troubleshoot production issues
Serving as a primary technical interface to clients
Represent Dynamic Webs at technical conferences |
